What this MX check tells you
The result shows the mail hosts published in DNS, including their numeric priorities. A lower number is preferred. A null MX means the domain explicitly declines mail.
What it cannot tell you
DNS does not prove that a mailbox exists or that an SMTP server will accept your message. No explicit MX can still permit an address-record fallback. This check opens no SMTP connection.
Why save a baseline?
A provider migration can accidentally remove a backup exchanger. Keep the old set, then share a receipt showing exactly which entries changed.
